Other Military Cases:

Between 2003 and 2015, 3M manufactured the Dual-Ended Combat Arms™ Earplugs that were distributed to thousands of military personnel. In a recent settlement agreement with the United States Department of Justice, 3M agreed to pay $9.1 million to resolve allegations that they knowingly sold defective earplugs to the U.S. military. These settlement proceeds will not be distributed to military personnel. Our law firm, along with experienced referral law firm partners, are pursuing civil lawsuits to obtain compensation for hearing loss damages.

Pressure Cooker Explosion Lawsuits

If you or a loved one were injured by a pressure cooker explosion, you may be entitled to substantial compensation without ever going to court.

generic pressure cooker

What's the problem?

A pressure cooker can explode - causing severe injuries such as burns, glass shard wounds and permanent scarring. Today’s pressure cookers have safety features such as steam release valves and locking lids, but these safeguards can still fail and the device can explode. Defective devices should never be sold to the public.

Malfunctions indicating the device is ready to be opened, as well as defective rubber rings around the lip of the cooker, have harmed consumers. If a pressure cooker is opened before steam has adequately escaped, it can create an “explosion” of its contents. At temperatures in excess of 200 degrees, this can lead to severe burns to anyone in the vicinity of the pressure cooker. Pressure cooker manufacturers and distributors have failed to provide adequate warnings of these potential problems.

Accordingly, a rapid increase of pressure cooker lawsuits have been filed against multiple manufacturers and distributors. In addition, numerous recalls have been ordered across the country for inadequate assembly instructions and faulty production. Victims of pressure cooker explosions have recovered millions of dollars from manufacturers responsible for their injuries.  You deserve to be compensated for your injuries, lost wages, pain and suffering and medical bills.

The following pressure cookers are some of the brands that potentially could explode and injure consumers:

  • Fagor America Casa Essentials pressure cooker
  • Philippe Richard pressure cooker
  • Maxi-Matic Elite pressure cooker
  • Lifetime Brands pressure cooker
