Other Military Cases:
Between 2003 and 2015, 3M manufactured the Dual-Ended Combat Arms™ Earplugs that were distributed to thousands of military personnel. In a recent settlement agreement with the United States Department of Justice, 3M agreed to pay $9.1 million to resolve allegations that they knowingly sold defective earplugs to the U.S. military. These settlement proceeds will not be distributed to military personnel. Our law firm, along with experienced referral law firm partners, are pursuing civil lawsuits to obtain compensation for hearing loss damages.

Knee Replacement Implant Lawsuits
In the past few years, several knee implant models have been associated with serious defects. If you or a loved one suffered serious injury or required additional surgery after knee replacement surgery, you may be entitled to compensation.
Several knee implant models have been associated with serious defects causing side effects including knee pain, infections and revision surgery
Here are some of the biggest orthopedic implant manufacturers:
- Zimmer Biomet
- DePuy Synthes Orthopedics
- Smith & Nephew, Inc.
- Stryker Orthopedics
- Wright Medical Group
Hundreds of lawsuits are being filed by patients who have been harmed by several devices manufactured by these companies. These include Zimmer's NexGen, Persona, and Natural Knee systems, Stryker's Scorpio system, and Smith & Nephew's OXINIUM system.
Zimmer first introduced the NexGen system in 2003. It was designed to provide a greater range of motion for recipients. Although they were designed to last approximately 15 years, Zimmer has come under scrutiny the last few years due to higher-than-normal rates of loosening and failure in certain components. In 2014, Zimmer recalled 40,000 NexGen Knee models because of defective screws which could lead to loosening and failure.
After only three years on the market, Zimmer recalled the Persona knee implant in 2014 because of potential loosening, severe pain and the need for early revision surgery. According to the FDA, over 11,000 devices were affected by the recall. They were sold from November 2013 through January 2015 throughout the United States and in other countries.
